Renewals Underwriter, Small Business Unit

Insurance Innovators Group is currently seeking experienced candidates for the position of Renewals Underwriter in the Glenside, PA office as a member of our Small Business Unit. The Renewal Underwriter – SBU job duties include, but are not limited to:
Evaluate and process renewals/non renewals of various insurance policies
Communicates and works with brokers and insurance companies to negotiate rates
Sends out renewal quotes
Follows up with all parties for orders or to close out file
Works with and seeks assistance of Underwriter as necessary on more complex issues involved in the renewal approvals
Communicates claims information necessary for ratings to process new quote for renewal/non-renewal Assists other staff in bind process or other functions in Small Business Unit during heavy workload periods.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Some college and/or industry training is preferred.
One to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with AIM and/or ImageRight beneficial but not required.
Skills:
Effective verbal and written business communication skills
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and comfort working in related software programs; workflow experience a plus.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
This is a fast paced environment and this position requires an individual who is detail oriented, can multi-task, work with interruption and adhere to strict deadlines.
